Hey, I’m Laura.
I’m the girl with the camera. I basically grew up with a camera in my hands, as my grandma was a photographer and my dad a videographer. I lost my grandma to cancer when I was 15, and since then the weight of capturing memories of people with their loved ones while they are here became part of my 'why'. So pictures have always meant so much to me and getting to capture other’s stories is my dream!
I now have my own family that has deepened this passion for freezing time. My husband and I have an incredible little guy who is growing up way too fast, and I find time feels like its slipping through my fingers, but I cherish every one of the thousands of photos I have of his first few years. (And look at them almost nightly, if you're a parent, you know!)
In 2023, our daughter was tragically stillborn, and the few photos we have of her here are like a warm hug in our grief. She is very much a part of me, and I dedicate all I accomplish to her. She is the light that leads me forward!
Though life has felt suffocating in these moments of grief, it has made room for a deeper, more authentic love for others, for their stories, and for appreciating the connections and time we have together. The gift of life itself is truly magical and finding that magic in seemingly ordinary moments is my favorite.
When I'm not with my sweet fam or behind the camera with you, I'm probably in a handstand somewhere, making bread, hanging out on a friend's couch, chasing some spontaneous adventure or trying something totally new! I am an absolute goofball at my core, and don't like to take life too seriously. Isn't that what's it's all about, why we're here? To love and be loved and live!!
